DESIGN FOR A CULTlVATlNG-SCRAPER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,422, dated March 28, 1899.
Application filed March 1, 1899. Serial No. 707.403. Term of patent 14 years.
To all, whom, it may concern:
lie it known that I, ADOLPHUS E. THOMP- SON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Brantley, in the county of Orenshaw and State of Alabama, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Cultivating- Seraper, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design foraeultivating-seraper; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character that shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in a central approximately rectangular fiat plate provided with a pair of oppositely-extending oblong rectangular wings tapering in crossseetion and disposed at an obtuse angle to the central plate, said central plate being further provided with curved lateral offsets or shoulders merging into the wings at and contiguous to the top edges of the latter.

Referring to the accompanying drawings, the numeral 1 designates a central approximately rectangular flat body-plate provided with a centrally-located circular opening :2 therein and at its opposite side edges with the oppositely extending oblong rectangular wings 3. The rectangular wings 3 taper in cross-section toward their lower edges and are disposed at an obtuse angle to the central body-plate 1, said central body-plate being further provided at its side edges with the curved lateral offsets or shoulders 4-, merging into the wings at and contiguous to the top edges of the latter.
