DESIGN FOR A WlNDOW-SASH VENTILATOR.
SPECIFIUATION'forrning part of Design No. 35,286, dated November 12, 1901.
Application filed October 3, 1901. Serial No- 7'7,503. Term of patent 7 years.
T0 (0% whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, SAMUEL W. SHERMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at T0- ledo, in the county of Lucas and State of Ohio,
have invented and produced a new and original Design for a \Vindow-Sash Ventilator; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
My invention has reference to a windowsash ventilator; and it consists in the novel configuration of the same.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a front elevation of my window-sash ventilator, showing my new and original design. Fig. 2 is a rear elevation. Fig. 3 is a side elevation. Fig. 4 is a vertical section, and Fig. 5 is a bottom plan view.
The leading or material feature of my design is a flat member and a cylindrical member joining each other, the flat member being formed of two substantially rectangular plates joined together upon three of their marginal edges and provided with circular openings, the cylindrical memberbeingjoined to one of said plates to register with the opening therein. Lengthwise within the cylindrical member is arranged a dividing-plate having the form of a compound arc, and the same is also arranged with a transverse latticework at its outer margin. Thus, referring to the drawings, there is a flat member 1 and a cylindrical member 2, the fiat member being formed by plates 4 and 5, joined upon their marginal edges at 6, 7, and 8 and provided with the circular openings 9. Within the cylindrical member which joins the plate 4: is the dividing-plate 10, having the form of a compound are, and 11 is a lattice-work arranged at the outer margin of the cylindrical member.
Having described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is
The design for a window-sash ventilator substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I hereunto affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
SAMUEL W. SHERMAN.
