DESIGN FOR A LENS-MOUNTlNO FOR EYEGLASSES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,131, dated July 4, 1899. Application filed April 17, 1899. Serial No. 713,413. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom, it ntay concern.-
Be it known that I, RAPHAEL MERTIN MERTZ, of Toledo, county of Lucas, and State of Ohio, have invented a certain new and original Design for a Lens-Mon ntin g for Eyeglasses; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof,which will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the figures of reference marked thereon,which form part of this specification.
My design has reference to a lens-mounting for eyeglasses.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is an enlarged front elevation of my invention embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a rear elevation thereof. Fig. 3 is a side elevation.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material featuresvof m ydesign are as follows: the ears 2, in parallel relation and having the adjacent faces fiat and the outer faces slightly rounded; the straps 3, extending in approximately opposite directions; the neck 1, cylindrical in form, extending from straps 3,
and the tubular portion 4, disposed at right angles to the cylindrical neck 1 and having on one end thereof the claws 5. Tubular portion 4 is also formed with a cut-out portion 6 in alinement with the longitudinal axis of neck 1. 4
Having described my design, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a lens-mounting for eyeglasses, substantially as shown and described.
