U ITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JOHN G. GLAS, OF LAKE VIEW, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR A SNAP-GAGE.
To (tZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, JOHN C. GLAS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lake View, in the county of Erie and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and useful Design for a Snap-Gage, of which the following is a specification.
This invention is a new and useful design for a snap-gage, the essential features residing in the peculiar shape and construction of the device as a whole, which will be fully described hereinafter.
In the drawings forming part of this specification, Figure 1 is a perspective view of a snap-gage constructed in accordance with my invention. Fig. 2 is a side view of the same.
Fig. 3 is an end View.
Referring particularly to the drawings, A indicates the shank or handle portion, having the parallel straight sides A and the curved end A Curved arins B extend from the shank or handle portions A, the inner faces of said arms being straight and parallel, as shown at B, and having gage-teeth 0 arranged thereon. To the rear of these teeth the arms and the shank portion are curved out,as shown at D.
A snap-gage constructed as herein described can be readily fitted upon threaded work to gage the same, the straight portions of the arms in advance of the gage-teeth acting as a guide for the purpose of enabling the threads to properly enter the gage.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
The design for a snap-gage, substantially as herein set forth.
JOHN C. GLAS.
