UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
DIVIGI-I'l B. LEE, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR A WHEEL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,826, dated December 20, 1898.
Application filed November 22, 1898. Serial No. 697,200. Term ofpatent 7 years.
fo all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, DWIGHT B. LEE, acitizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Wheels, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure l is a plan view of a Wheel embodying my new design. Fig. 2 is a sectional View of the same, taken on dotted line of Fig. 1.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consistsin the form and direction of the spokes of the wheel, they being so arranged as to leave a space A, of diamond form, between each spoke. The plan view of these spokes is su bstantially of Y form, the upper members B `of the Y being somewhat widespread and the stem C of the Y radiating from the hub of the wheel. The angle between the two upper members B of the Y in each spoke is lled in concentric with a circular opening D, occurring at the juncture of the members of the Y. The upper ends of the Y join the rim of the wheel, forming between them a figure E of substantially triangular outline. One face of this wheel is plane, while on the other face the hub and the rim rise above the surface of the spokes.
I claim as my invention- The design for a wheel substantially as herein shown and described.
