DESIGN FOR A LABEL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,456, dated October 4, 1898.
Application filed July 21, 1898. Serial No. 686,550. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HERBERT H. J ACOBUS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cedar Grove, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Label, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, in which the design is represented by a plan view.
The leading features of my design for a label consist of the ornamental surface configurations, comprising an elongated band or frame with rounded ends and extending and intersecting segments above and below the middle portions of the band or frame and the surrounding scroll, leaflet, and dot ornaments inclosing a substantially plain panel agreeing in outline with the band or frame.
The elongated band or frame a, with rounded ends a, has intersecting segments 1) 1), extending above and below the middle portions of the band or frame, and the surrounding scroll, leaflet, and dot ornaments c, inclosing the substantially plain panel, whose outlines agree with the band or frame.
The ornamental outline or edge of the label conforms generally to the ornamental surface configurations.
What I claim is- The design for a label, substantially as shown and described.
Signed by me this 19th day of July, 1898.
