DESIGN FOR A UOIIIN.
"dit: dgehnl nimh tu in these rttsrs atent zum mating met nf tige 5mn.
TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM G. ALGEO, of the city of Pittsburg, in the county of Allegheny, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new Design for Cons;n and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, making a part of this specification, in whichf Figure 1 is a perspective view ot'` a con, which shows my improved design, and
Figure 2 is a longitudinal vertical section of' the same.
Like letters of reference indicate like parts in each. A
My improved design consists in the form and manner of ornamentation which I adopt in making the ends and top of a con.
That the character of my improved design may be more readily understood, I Will proceed to explain the same.
The sides a ofthe cofin are made in the usual manner. On these rests a rim, which supports an ornamental moulding, c, of any `well-known style, on which, in turn, is placed the raised cover e, with its lids e.
The ends of the Cehn, as well as of the rim Z1, nlouldings c, cover e, and lids e', I make of an octngonal shape, as at d; that is to say, the three faces d, at each end, are faces of an octagonal body of like shape. The mouldings c are united by heveljoints at both the sides and ends, to adapt them to the shape of' the eoiin. I thus make the ends and top of the Cottin of' a greatly-improved shape, and much more ornamental style.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for coihns herein set forth and described.
In testimony whereof, I, the said IVILLIAM G. ALGEO, have hereunto set my hand.
WILLIAM G. ALGEO.
