IMPROVEMENT IN GLASS LAMPS.
Specification forming part ofLetters Patent No. 110,815, dated January 10, 1871.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN ADAMS, of the borough of Birmingham, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Improvement in the Manufacture of Glass Lamps 5 and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, making a part of this specification, which is a side View of a glass lamp, showing my improvement.
Like letters of reference indicate like parts in each.
My invention consists in attaching a metallic handle to the stem of a glass lamp, the manner of doing which I will now proceed to describe.
The bowl of the lamp is represented at a, and around the stem b is the eye cof the haudle (1, below which is the foot or stand 6 of the lamp. The eye 0 of the handle is solid, and

2. As an improved article of manufacture, a glass lamp having a metallic handle, with a solid eye attached between the bowl and foot. In testimony whereof I, the said JOHN ADAMS, have hereunto set my hand.
