Application filed January 24, 1898. Serial No. 667,826. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HAROLD R. BUTLER, a citizen of the United States, residing'at the city of New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Puzzle Boards or Boxes, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form a part thereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a top or plan view of a puzzle-board, showing my new design; and Fig. 2 is a vertical transverse sectional view taken on the line a: :0, Fig. 1.
The leading or material feature of my design consists of a rectangular box 1, having a fiat or horizontal bottom2, surrounding vertical side walls 3, and an open top 4, and interiorly within said rectangular box and between the vertical walls thereof is arranged a fiat or horizontal platform 5, from the end of which extends a chute-shaped incline 6, and on top of which is arranged a vertical annular flange or ring 7, having an opening 8 in its rear wall. The fiat or horizontal interior platform 5 is elevated some distance above the bottom 2 of the box 1 and occupies a large part of the area of said box.
The chute-shaped incline 6 extends downwardly from the bottom platform 5 to the bottom 2 of the box at a central point with respect to the front edge of said platform and is provided with vertical side flanges 9 9. The vertical annular flange or ring 7 is centrally arranged upon the top surface or area of the platform 5.
Having fully described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent The design for a puzzle board or box, sub-,
