Description

012-18. OR 0 27,553 EX DESIGN.
J. WANAMAKER= DELIVERY WAGON BODY.
No. 27,553. Patented Aug. 17, 1897.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JOHN \VANAMAKER, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A DELIVERY-WAGON BODY.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 27,553, dated August 17, 1897.
Application filed June 16,1897. Serial No. 641,066. Term of patent 35 years.
To all whom it may concern;
Be it known that 1, JOHN WANAMAKER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Delivery-\Vagon Bodies,of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure l is a plan View of the side of the wagon-body. Fig. 2 is a view in perspective of the Wagon-body.
My design relates to delivery-wagon bodies, and its leading or characteristic features are the side walls thereof, each of which comprises a pattern which consists of a large substantially rectangular panel in the upper part of the wall, having centrally-disposed thereon an ovoidal panel whose longitudinal axis is parallel with the longitudinal axis of the inclosing panel. Forward of this rectangular panel are smaller panels of rectangular and partially rectangular form.
Below the larger panel are longitudinal panels extending the full length of the wall of the wagon-body. In the rear of said wagonbody and on the tail-board thereof are three separate panels of equal distances apart with a convex curve line at the top of each, all of which panels are surmounted bya large longitudinal panel extending the full width of the tail-board. These panels are given contrasting shades of color, making thus an ornamental surface.
In Fig. 1, A represents the large rectangular panel, and B the ovoidal panel within the same. C and D represent the smaller panels, of rectangular and partially rectangular form. E and F represent the longitudinal panels, extending the full length of the wall of the wagon-body.
In Fig. 2, G, H, and I represent the three separate panels, of equal width and height, equally distant apart, and with convex top, and J represents the longitudinal panel, extending the full width of the tail-board.
Having described my invention, what I claim is The design fora delivery-wagon body, substantially as shown and described.
JNO. XVANAMAKER.
