DESIGN FOR A BICYCLE-STAND.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,768, dated October 19, 1897.
Application filed July 6, 1897. Serial No. 643,661. Ter of atent 7 years.
To (LIZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I,\VILLIAM OLIVER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lockport, in the county of Niagara and State of New York, have invented and prod need a new and original Design for Bicycle-Stands, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanyingdrawing, forming a part thereof.
This design relates to the configuration of a bicycle-stand, the accompanying drawing being a perspective View of a bicycle-stand embodying my design.
The distinctive feature of my design consists in the peculiar shape of the upright or holding portion of the stand.
Referring to the drawing, A represents the base-frame, consisting of four bars a, four supporting-feet b at the corners thereof, and two pedestals 0, arranged centrally on two opposite bars a.
The frame of the upright or supporting portion of the stand consists of two standards I) D,whieh rise from the pedestals, an upper horizontal cross-bar (I, connected. at its ends by curved portions (1 with the upper ends of the standards, and a lower horizontal crossbar (1*, connected at its ends with the lower portions of the standards by rosettes (1 E represents a number of upright bars which are preferably arranged in pairs to form loops or racks, each bar being connected at its ends by a rosette c with the adjacent cross-bar. The rosettes at the adjacent ends of each pair of upright rods may be connected by a connecting-pieee'e.
