DESIGN FOR CORD.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,365, dated July 13, 1897. Application filed April 8, 1897. Serial No. 631,321- Term of patent. 14 years.

To all whom it nmy concern.-

Be it known that I, HERMAN GREEN, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented a certain new and original Design for Cord, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawin g,formin g a part hereof.

My invention relates to a design for cord such as commonly employed for making button-loops of waistbands and for other like purposes; and it consists in the shape and configuration of the cord, substantially as shown in the accompanying drawing, which represents in side elevation a short section of the cord which embodies my design.

Referring particularly to the drawing, it will be seen that the body of the cord is sub stantially cylindrical, as at a, and that along one side is a series of protuberances b b, at substantially regular intervals, with inter vening depressions c. A band (I crosses the cord at regular intervals, corresponding with the depressions 0, being obliquely disposed, as shown in side elevation, but being a continuous spiral when the cord is viewed on all sides.
