The leading feature of the design resides in a tie or fastener having a single-length wire body formed with an intermediate segmental arched portion. at one end of which arched portion one terminal of the body is bent to an approximate S-shape form, which S-shaped terminal is disposed at an acute angle to the chord of the intermediate arched portion, the opposite terminal of the body being folded into a straight V-shaped portion, also disposed at an acute angle to the chord of the arched portion.

Referring to the drawings, the numeral 1 designates the intermediate segmental arched portion of the wire body forming the tie or fastener, and at one end of this arched portion 1 one terminal of the body (designated by the numeral 2) is bent to an approximate S-shaped form and is disposed at an acute angle to the chord of the segment 1. The terminal of the wire body opposite the S-shaped terminal 2 is folded into a straight V-shaped portion 3, which V-shaped portion 8 is also disposed at an acute angle to the chord of the segment or arched portion 1 and is provided with a laterally-deflected extremity 4.
