DESIGN FOR A TIE AND SCARF HOLDER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,194, dated October 20, 1896.
Application filed September 8, 1896. Serial No. 605,196. Term of patent 14 years.

Be it known that I, ()TTU L. SETTLEs, a citizen of the United States, residing at Argentine, in the county of Wyandotte and State of Kansas, have invented a new and original Design fora Combined Tie and Scarf Holder, of which the following, is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a combined tie and scarf holder; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character that shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in a combined tie and scarf holder comprising a U-shaped or semicircular body having parallel edges and provided at its diametrically opposite ends with flat straight arm extensions lying in parallel planes to each other and also lying parallel with the Hat sides of the body, each of said arm extensions being folded or bent intermediate of its ends to form separate parallel portions and one of which portions of the arm extensions curves into the extremities of the U-shaped or circular body.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of a combined tie and scarf holder embodying the herein-described design. Fig. 2 is a sectional view thereof.
Referring to the drawings, 1 designates a combined tie and scarf holder comprising a U -shaped or semicircular body 2. The body 2 is provided with parallel -edges 3 and has extended from its diametrically opposite ends the flat straight arm extensions it. The arm extensions -t are folded or bent intermediate of their ends, as at 5, to form separate parallel portions U, lying parallel to each other and to the flat sides of the U-shaped or semicircular body 9. One of the arm portions 6 of the straight arm extensionst curves into the opposite ends of the body 3 at the point 7, and said arm extensions 4 are not only disposed parallel to the body 2, but also lie in parallel planes with respect to each other.
\Vhat I claim is The design for a combined tie and scarf holder herein shown and described.
