DESIGN FOR A FENCE-POST BASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,842, dated March 30, 1897.
Application filed February 12,1897. Serial No. 623,191. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom, it 11111. concern:
3e it known that 1, WILLIAM T. IIAWLEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Paris, in the county of Portage and State of Ohio, have invented a new and original Design for a Fence-Post Base, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a fence-post base; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character that shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in a fence-post base having an elongated eylindrieal b0dy,opposite parallel circular heads at the ends of the body and of a greater diameter than the same, and a plurality of fiat radial webs lying between and connecting the circular heads and projecting outward from the periphery of the cylindrical body, the outer edges of said webs lying flush with the peripheries of the heads.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of a fence-post base embodying the herein-described design. Fig. 2 is a side view thereof. the base.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, the numeral 1 designates a fence-post base having an elongated cylindrical body 2, at the ends of which are arranged the opposite parallel circular heads 3, which are of a greater diameter than the body 2. A plurality of flat radial webs 4 lie between and connect the heads 3 and are projected outward from the periphery of the body 2, the outeredges of said webs i lying flush with the peripheries of the heads Vhat I claim is- The design for a fence-post base herein shown and described.
