Be it known that I, FREDERICK RoINsoN, a citizen of the United States, residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a 5 certain new and original Design for a Bed Spread or Quilt, of which the following is a specification.
My design for a bed spread or quilt is fully shown in the accompanying drawings.
1o Figure 1 illustrates the outlines of the coinplete design, and Fig. 2 represents one-quarter of the complete design with the details filled in.
The design comprises essentially a center I 5 piece A, an inner border B and an outer border D.
The design is a segregable one, each of the elements A, B and D in itself comprisinga complete subdesign. The center A has a een- 20 tral rectangular figure a, and, surrounding the same, a design composed of conventional representations of leaves b and flowers d, the outer portion of the central figure being ornamented with a block-weave design f. The inner border B comprises square iigures g, 71, 25 'i and m and oblong figures n, the figures q, 71 and 'z' being ornamented with patterns of n geometrical characterand the ii gu res Im and n containing representations of plants growing in pots or tubs. The outer border D consists 3o of representations of strips or bands s interwoven after the manner of open-basket work, and in each of the squares inclosed by these bands is a bleek-weave ornament I claim- 35 The design for a bed spread or quilt, substantially as described and as shown in ille accompanying drawings.
