Application filed December 21, 1895. Serial No. 572,957- Term of patent 3i years.
T 0 all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, LoUIs HORNBERGER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Bridgeport, Fairficld county, Connecticut,
5 have invented a new Design for Bases for Lamps and the Like, of which the following is a specification.
The accompanying drawings represent my base, Figure 1 in perspective, and on a smaller Io scale, Fig. 2, in top plan view.
I5 tious.
The base consists of four feet attached to a low irregularly conical body, the outer portion of which is of open-scroll and lattice work. Above and within this outer portion 20 is a plain concave member surrounding an inner concave portion ornamented with alternate radial raised ribs and rows of bead-like projections. The feet are surmounted by irregular medallions and are ornamented by scrolls. Two opposite feet project radially from the body of the base, the alternate two feet being curved from a radial line.
The leading feature of the design is the outer convex open-work portion, the concave center portion with raised ribs and beaddike rows, and the feet, two of which oppositely placed differ from the other two in being curved from a radial line.
\Vhat I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is as follows:
The design for a base for lamps, herein shown and described.
