DESIGN FOR A TELEPHONE-SUPPO RT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,175, dated April 2, 1895. Application filed September 15, 1894. Serial No. 523,164. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, DAVID J. HAUSS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cincinnati, in the county of Hamilton and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Telephone-Supports, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming and showing a part thereof.
In said drawings, Figure 1 is a front elevation showing my design, and Fig. 2 is a plan view thereof.
The leading feature of my design consists in a circular, cylindrical base having a flat bottom with a flaring edge or flange and surmounted by a convex or dome-shape top or cover, the latter supporting, centrally, an upright, crank-handle-shape or central-swell pedestal or standard, and, on part of its periphery, havinga rad ial-lined, fiat-arch-shape space or dial.
In the drawings, A represents the said circular, cylindrical base having a flat, flaring bottom A, and a convex or dome-shape top or cover a.
a is an open slot or elongated, rectangular space inolosed by said base and cover.
B is a semi-circular or are shape shield or plate whose face is suitable for letters, figures, or radial graduated lines, (the latter, only, being shown,) said plate surmounting that part of the peripheral edge of the convex or dome-shape top a, immediately over and registering with the said slot a; and C is an upright, crank-handle shape or central-swell pedestal or standard centrally surmounting said base-cover a.
I claim The design for a telephone support, herein shown and described.
