SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 604,766, dated May 31, 1898.

Application filed March 10, 1897.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, HENRY KoRELL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Hamilton, in the county of Butler and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Tables, of which the following is a specification. My invention relates to tables of the class suited for use in restaurants and elsewhere; and the objects of my improvement will be fully explained in the following description, as illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is an elevation showing portions in vertical section; Fig. 2, a plan of portions of the top, and Fig. 3 details of construction.

In the drawings, A represents the central support or column, mounted on feet 13 and terminating at the top in a tapered projection U. SpiderD, preferably constructed of metal, is formed integral with a series of arms E, thatradiate from a center boss F. The bell beneath the disk serves as an alarm to notify the other guests that one of their number is turning the disk and to avoid the confusion of several attemptingtoturnitatthesametime. When it is desired to use the table for purposes where it would be preferable to have the disk immovable, the locking-bolt may be used to secure it to the ring. This locked. position is preferable for the reception of a table-cover and for many ordinary uses.

Having fully described my improvement, what I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

In a table, the combination with the top formed with a circular opening in its center, and radial arms supporting said top of a circular disk to occupy said opening, said disk being pivotally mounted above the common center of the arms, whereby it maybe rotated in the opening and continue in the plane of the top, a bell secured beneath the disk and a lever depending therefrom to engage with the respective arms and thereby ring the bell.
