DESIGN FOR A TILE.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, WILLIAM B. HAYDEN, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York city, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented or produced a new and original Design for Tiles, of which the following is a specification.

The design is illustrated by the acco mpanying drawing, in which the figure is a perspective view, showing the new ornamentation of the top surface of a tile.
As here illustrated the tile is in the form of a rectangular block or brick 1,and the top surface or face of this block is provided with a series of concentric lines 2 bounded by a rectangular or squareborder, or figu re 3, which latter is surrounded bya series of ornamental lines I. The ornamental lines at each side of the rectangular or square border 3 are shown as rectilinear and parallel.
The design is shown duplicated at each end portion of the top surface of the tile.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is- The design for a tile, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal in presence of two subscribing witnesses.
