DESIGN FOR A CAMPAIGN-BUTTON.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,815, dated August 30, 1892.
Application filed July 23, 1892- Serial No. 441.057 Term of patent 3%; years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WOODBURY S. How, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Campaign-l3uttom and I do declarethe following to be a full, clear, and exact description ofthe same, reference being had to the accompanyingd rawings, forminga part thereof.
Figure 1 is a top plan View of my design. Fig. 2 is a vertical central section of the same, showing the raised surface configuration.
This new and original design is for use on buttons such as are usually worn on thelapel of a coat, and more particularly for that class of this sort of buttons which are used in political campaigns.
The leading feature of my said'design consists in the representation of a flag placed upon the upper face of said button, said flag showing an eagle and stars in a square field and contrasting stripes placed vertical to the length of the flag.
In the accompanying drawings, A denotes the larger part or top of the button, and B the flag upon it. Above the flag is a blank space 0, and likewise below the flag another similar space D. In each of these there may be placed any suitable lettering or design, according as the party using the said button may desire.
What I claim is- The design for a campaign-button, as herein shown and described.
