Description

015 143. OR 0210613 EX DESIGN.
H. W. HILL. PILLOW BLOCK STANDARD.
No. 21,613. Patented June '7, 1892.
ATTORNEY UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HARRY W. HILL, Ul" Ul il lYl lLANl), ()llltl,
DESIGN FOR A PILLOW-BLOCK STANDARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,613, dated June 7, 1892.
Application filed March 10, 1892. Serial No. 424,451. Tenn of patent 14 years,
To (all, whmn 171/ may concern.-
lle it known that; I, HARRY \V. 1[1LL,acitizen of the United States, residing" at Cleveland, in the county of Uuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for lillowdllock Standards, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying d rawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of my newly designed standard, and Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same.
The general form of the standard is that of a truncated pyramid having a rectangular base considerablylonger than it is Wide. The sides, however, are slightly curved, especially at their upper ends. This slight curvature adds something; to the generally symmetrical appearance of the standard, but does not amount to departure from the general outline,
as above described. In the top a semi-cyliw d rieal depression is formed. The ends A and sides ll are smooth and without ornamentation, and their meeting edges are nicely finished.
The appearance of the standard thus described is graceful and symmetrical, and it is especially pleasing to the eye, because it creates the impression of well-proportioued strength and absolute stability. This last ef feet is intensified by a round hole through the standard.
What I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design fora pillcw-bloek standard, substantially as shown and described.
HARRY W. HILL.
