RADIATOR LOOP PIPE.
No. 20,565. Patented Mar. 3, 1891.
grof-5665, 52%. F071-.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
DESIGN FOR A RADIATOR LOOP-PIPE.
SPECIFICATION forming part. of Design No. 20,565, dated March 3` 1891. Application filed December 9, 1890. Serial No` 374,086. Term of patent 14 years.
To refi/ who/n, t may (Jouw/'n.-
Be it known that I, JOHN R. REED,a citizen of the United States, residing at Westfield, in the county of Hampden, in the State ot' Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Radiator Loop-Pipes, of which the following is a specification, reference heilig made to the accompanying d rawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 in side elevation represents a radiator loop-pipe showing my novel design; Fig. la viewof one of the loops looking from the right, and Fig. 3 a view of one ot' the loops looking from the left.
The loop-pipe shown has three upright members a b c, and to aid in this description I shall call the member I' the body and the members ar c the arms. The body resembles a column, and where the body and head and base come together there are annular' beads or projections b b2, which indicate that the body might be separate from the head and base. The arms a and c have like annular' beads or projections a o2 and c' c2; but the projections d e are in diterent horizontal planes. The annular beads or projections or bands a? c2 are likewise in different horizontal planes. The upper end of each loop-pipe presents a sort of head with ears of dilercnt lengths, thus making the arms d c appear as it of diterent lengths, and it is this appeal'- ance which constitutes the leading feature of my design. rlhe upper member ot the loop is terminated by an ornamented portion, seem inglv distinct from the upright portions, to torm a head d, with ears rl (Z2 of unequal length. This head is ornamented at 2 2, and the ears ot' unequal length are of such conlign ration or design as to show ornamentation for different lengths, as shown by the ear d2, which is represented as longer than the ear d. The lower end or base of the loop is shown as of such configuration or design, accompanied with ornamentation, as to form pedestals e c 2 of unequal lengths.
'lhe ears and pedestals are shown as provided with scroll and shell or leaf-like tigures, the particular lines of which may he varied without departing from my improved design as a whole.
I claim- 'lhe design for radiator loop-pipe, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence ot' two subscribing witnesses.
JOHN' lt. REED.
