DESIGN FOR A CORNICE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,580, dated May 24, 1892.

To all whom, t may cmwern:
Bo it known that I, AUGUST (ninnawrrz, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a. new and original Design for a (,ornice, to be used in the angle formed by the Wall and ceiling of a room, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to lhe accompanying drawings7 showing a part thereof.
The drawings show one section of Lhe enA tire cornice, the opposite ends being designed to match, the completed cornice being made np of such sections.
Figure l is a front elevation of the cornice. showing my design complete. Fig. :l is a cross-section through thi` liner/.fz of the same.
rlhe prominent feature of my design eonsists in a raised lignred surface, the outlines of which when viewed in elevation, as in Fig. l, will lie principally within the cove of the cornice, but also extending over the upper and lower beads thereof.
A is the cove of the corniee, which is concave in form, and B C are respectivelytheup` per and lower beads or moldings.
The central feature of the design consists of a bunch of fiowers,-leaves, and Seed-pods l)1 lied at the base or stems by a ribbon E, which extends laterally on both sides of the bunch of flowers along the cove.
