DESiG N FOR A CAN DLESTICK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,138, dated October 27, 1891.
Application filed Clctober 2, 1891. Serial No. 407.569- Term of patent 3% years.

Be it known that I, SETH WILLIAM BAB- BITT, of Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design fora Candlestick; and I dohereby declare the following, when taken in connection with accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification and represents a side View of the candlestick complete.
This invention relates to a design for acandlestick; and it consists in the configuration and ornamentation as shown in the accompanying illustration. lhe base A upon its upper surface curves inward and upward, and on the surface is the representation of several panels, and on the surface of the pan cls the representation of a border of leaves 'inclosing the representation of flowers. On
the standard above the base is an ornamentation represented as leaves springing outward and upward from the standard and supporting acanthus-leaves alternating with scrolls contracting in diameter upward to the standard. The socket above is in the representation of a double vase, the lower parts of which are ornamented by the representation of acanthus-leaves, the edges of the vases turned outward and terminating in scallops, as shown.
I claim The design for a candlestick, as described and shown in the acccompanying illustration.
