DESIGN FOR A COU PON-BLAN K.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, IIANS VON SoHoN, a citizen of the United States residing at the city of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and designed or produced a new and original Blank for the Coupon of a Credit-Book and other Purposes, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying elevational drawing of a blank for such a coupon of my invention, forming part hereof.

The leading features of the blank for such coupon are the two circular figures or rings having a scroll-like ground, and extending across the upper part of the blank from one ring to the other is disposed a curved plainsurfaeed or ornamental band. Beneath and between the rings is displayed an eseutcheon with a plain-surfaced or ornamental ground, and about midway between the two rings and the curved band and cscutcheon is the representation of a bag drawn together by strings or strips. Twigs, limbs, or spears are dis played diagonally from the eseutchcon to, in rear, and beyond said rings, and streamers are represented as being displayed around about the lower portion of said rings adj accnt to said escutchcon.

Referring now to the accompanying draw ing for a further and more detailed description of my design, a and a represent the two rings of the blank A, having a scroll or other background.

I) is the curved band with an ornamental contour and a plain-surfaced background, and extending from the upper part of one ring to that of the other.

e is the eseuteheon with a waving contour.

(1 represents a full bag drawn together by strings or strips (1'.

e and e are respectively the lcaved twigs, limbs, or spears displayed diagonally from the escutcheon c to, in rear of, and beyond the rings a and a.

and f are the streamers indiscriminately but artistically displayed around about the rings a and a, respectively, and the escutchcon 0.

The principal characteristic features of my design constituting a blank for the formation of a coupon therefrom I desire it to be understood are the rings a and a, the curved band I), the bag (I, and the escutcheon 0, arranged substantially in the above-dcscribed manner.

Having thus described the features of my design, What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
