The leading feature of my design consists in the convex form of the soup-tureen or covered dislnwith the peculiar ornamentation of the handles, which are in the form of a erosier.
The form of the soup-tureen or covered dish, Fig. 1, is oval, and the cover sits on a rim within raised edges. 0n the body of the sou ptureen or covered dish are raised panels A A A A, giving a convex shape to the dish. The handles B B B represent erosiers with scrollwork of the time of Louis XV. The handle of the cover, Fig. .3, is also formed by the same scroll-work, with ornaments on each side, attached to which are the same crosier designs which extend down the surface of the cover.
The platters, Fig. 3, are oblong. The outside circumference conforms to the broken outline of the soup-tureen or covered dish. There are also four raised panels A A A A. The handles are of the same style as those of the soup-tureen or covered dish, excepting that they are in relief. The ornamentation and scroll-work are also the same.
The plates, Fig. 4, are divided into six raised panels C C (J O C (i. The outside and inside circumference of the rim D F follow the outline of the panels.
