Be it known that I, ELLEN MoRAN, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern of a Ladys Costume; and I do hereby accompanying this specification convey to any one accustomed to using paper patterns a clear understanding of how a garment made up by the pattern will appear.
The design shows a basque anda round Walking skirt. The skirt displays a long front drapery that exhibits two groups of plaits at the right side turning and Haring toward each other, is plain at the center of the front, and forms a yoke-section that crosses the top of the panel and left-side gore, and a full deep back drapery that displays bournous loops and kilt-plats at the top, and extends to the edge of the skirt at the left side and several declare that the engraved prints inches from the edge at the right side. The basque displays closeitting fronts that eX- bibit a closing down the center, and shape two points below the closing;` a closetting back that falls in two narrow tabs at the center and in a point at either side ofthe tabs; a standing coll-nr, and coat-sleeves that exhibit long V-putl's thatdisplay side plails Baring from the point more than half-Way to the top, downward-turning plaits in the side edges near the top, and a gathering across the top.
