DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR sPooNs, FORKS, etc;

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,637, dated August 16, 1887.

Application filed July 9, 1887. Serial N0. 243,898. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, EDWIN J AMEs STANTON, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Newburyport, in the county of Essex, of the State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Ornamentation of Handles of Spoons or Forks, or various other articles and I do hereby declare the saine to be described in the following specification and represented in the accompanying drawing,which is a top view 0f aspoon having o n its handle the design in question.

The design consists of the representation of two four-leaved clovers, a b, arranged with a space, c, between them, each clover having radiating from it a series of stems, d, terminating in pointed leaves e. Connecting them at each edge of the handle is a corrugated border, 2o f, one of such borders being continued in oblique clovers, their stems and leaves, and the connecting corrugated borders, as set forth.
