-le it known that I, JOHN DE Yoltti, ot" the city,` county, and Stateof New York, have invented and produced a new Design for Cataloguetfovers and Pamphlets, of which the following" is a speeication.
ln the accompanying drawings, illustrating my invention and forniingapart ot' this speciiication, Figure l is a View of a leaf of the cover, showing my design in shape and configuration; and Fig. 2 isa similar view ofthe two sides ot' the cover open.
The leading feature ot' my design consists in a flat cover haring' parallel top and betteln et and parallel side edges, with two opposite corners truncated and having' parallel edges, and the cover having;` lines traced thereon which produce the outline figure of arightline parallelopipcd, substantially as seen in the drawings.
More particularly describing the design with reference to thc drawings, the letter A designates theside of the covcr, with parallel top and botto1nedges,a a', and parallel side edges, ai* e, the opposite diagonally-arranged corners of the cover being truncated to give the requisite angle, as seen at a3 a3. Lines are produced to border the edges of the cover, and lines b b', parallel to the top and bottom and to the side edge of the cover and at right angles to each other, are produced from the upper point of each truncated corner, which Term ot patent lil years.
said lines terminate in their point, of intersection. Similar lines, e f", new' be produced intermediate otn the lilies Z b aiV l tie edges ot' the cover and the point of intersection ol` the` innermost lines, and the corner ot' the cover connected by a right line, d, produced parallel with the lines of the truncated corners, thus producing the gure ot' a right-line parallelopiped, or, as is particularly intended, the tigure of a rectangular box, and in connection with the intermediate lilies ol` the cover a box with its lid or cover.
