Be it known that l, ll'nx'ny Tl-IX'LUR, of Brooklyn, in the county ol' Kings and Stateot' New York, have invented and produced a new Design for Newel-losts. of which the l'ol lowing is a specification.

I willdeseribc in detail a newel-post embodying my design, and then point out the various features in claims.

The accompanying illustration is a perspective view of a newel-post embodying my design.

The base a of the newel is polygonal. It is embellished with a convex molding. b, and a [5 surmounting concave molding, v. Above the moldings care moldings (I e f. The body of this ncwel is polygonal, and tapers upward.
