DESIGN FOR A'ZSPOON OR FORK HANDLE.

Application filed April 2, 1883. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANK A. WALLACE, of Wallingford, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented anew Design for Spoon or Fork Handles; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part ofthis specification, and represents a face view. The sections 61 cf represent transverse cuts on cor responding lines of the face view.
This invention relates to a. design for spoons, forks, and like articles of table service; and the design consists in the configuration of the shank, bolster, and handle, as shown in the accompanying illustration and hereinafter described.
A represents the handle, which is elliptical in transverse section, and gradually expanding from th point a, where it intersects the hol ster, to the end. The hoster-B is also elliptical in shape in transverse section, and from the bolster, as at b, the shank C gradually contracts, and is worked into a cylindrical shape as it approaches the bowl of the spoon, body of the fork, or whatever the article may be,as seen in Fig. 1. The sections d e f show the shape at those respective points. This peculiar configuration of the handle, holster, and shank gives to the spoon or fork a neat and tasteful appearance. A
I claim- The design for spoons, forks, and like articles of table service. consisting of the handle A, gradually expanding from the holster to ward the end, the bolster B of corresponding shape, the shank C gradually contracting from the bolster downward, substantially asde scribed and shown.
