DESIGN FOR A MIRROR-FRAME.

Be it known that I, WILLIAM S. Kunrs, of Erooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have originated and designed a Design for Mirror-Frame and -Window Gornice; and I hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanyin g photographic illustration, forming part of this specification.
The accompanying photographicillustration shows the front of a mirror-frame and an attached window-cornice in accordance with my design.
The mirror-frame is composed of a base, side rails, and a cornice ornamented as hereinafter described. The window-cornice is, in the on naments designed by me, precisely like the mirronframe cornice except in the one particular of dimension, and a description of the mirror-frame cornice will therefore sufiice for the said window-cornice.
The base of the mirror-frame is composed of two side panels, A, a center panel 13, and intermediate panels 0, ornamented in relief as follows: The said side panels of the said base are each ornamented with a top molding, a, a bottom molding, a, a rosette, b, in the upper part of the panel, and a pendant, 0, extending downward from the said rosette. The center panel B of the base is ornamented in relief by an upper molding, d, a lower molding, d, vertical ribbed side pieces 0, a semi-rosette, f, just under the center of the upper molding 01, two smaller rosettes, f, one on each side of the said semi-rosette, and a representation of drap ery, g, hung in festoons from the said rosettes The intermediate panels 0 are each ornamented in relief by a top molding, 1', a bottom molding, 01, an arched molding, h, ornamented in relief with interspersed radial ribs and rosettes, and an arched panel, j, ornamented in relief with leaf, vine, and flower work.
The said side rails are each ornamented in relief with a truss, D, a center panel, E, and a bracket, F. The said truss Dis ornamented in relief with a top molding, k, a center molding, A, a bottom molding, k, corbel-work 6 between the bottom molding and the center molding, and a rosette with pendent leaf and flower work between the said upper molding and the said center moldin The lower part of said center panel E is ornamented in relief with delicate side moldings a and intermediate beads m. The upper part of the said panel is ornamented with a nodnled pilaster, 0, having a leaf-work capital, q, the said pilaster resting on a center piece, ornamented in relief with rosette and pendants and IGIHGSBIHJELHOII of festooned drapery.
The brackets F are each ornamented in relief with a eorbel, 'r. The said brackets are, moreover, flanked on one or both sides with an arched panel or spandrel or panels or spandrels, s, ornamented in relief with leaf and flower work.
The cornice of the frame, as is also the window-cornice, is ornamented with acenter-piece, H, end pieces G, intermediate moldings K, caps I, and wings L. The said center piece H is ornamented in relief with an arch, 1, surmounted in the center with a conchoidal cap, a, flanked with win glets o, and in the hollow of the said arch is arosette, w, from which extends a pendant, m. At each side of said cen ter piece is, moreover, a large pendent, .00, also connected with rosettes 20' at the tops of the same, and between the rosettes w is a string of bead-work, 3 below which is the representation of a jewel with pendants suspended by a cord, as shown at z.
The end pieces G are ornamented in relief with moldings surmounted with scroll-work, as shown at 1.
The caps I are each ornamented in relief with rosette and pendant 2.
The wings L are each ornamented in relief with volutework or helices, as shown at 3.
I claim-- 1. The design for a center panel for the base of a mirror-frame, consisting of the following ornaments in relief, to wit: Upper and lower moldings d d, the semtrosette f, the smaller rosettes f vertical ribbed side pieces a, and the representation of festooned drapery y con nectcd with the said rosettes f, all arranged substantially as described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
2. The design for the base of a mirror-frame, consisting of the center panel B, the side panels A, intermediate panels (1, and the moldings 'i', the said parts being, ornamented in relief, substantially as described, and shown in the accompanying, illustration.
3 The design for the side rails of a mirrorlranie, consisting oi the truss l), the center panel the lower part oiwhich is ornamented wit h bead-work m, and the upper part of which is ornznnented with. a nodnled pilaster, o, and the bracket 1*, all in relief, substantially as described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
4. The design for the end pieces G of the cornice, consisting of a molding ornamented at the upper part with scroll-work 1. and resette and pendant 2, substantially as described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
5. The design for a center piece for the cornice, consisting of the arch t, surmounted with a conclioidal cap, 1:, flanked with win glets r, the rosette w in the hollow of the arch, the pendant as connected with the said rosette, the large pendants m at the sides of the said center piece, with rosettes at the tops of said pendants, the string of bead-work y connected with the said rosettes, and the representation z of a jewel with pendants suspended by a cord below the said bead-work, all arranged substantially as herein described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
