DESIGN FOR POCKET-BOOK CLASPS.
Specification forming part of Design No. 10,266, dated October 2, 1877; application filed September 13, 1877.
[Term of Patent 3%; years] To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, LoUIs MEssEn, of the city, county, and State of New York, have originated and designed a new Pattern for Clasps for Pocket-Books and other Articles, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, making part of 7 this specification, in which drawing- Figure 1 represents a face View of my design. Fig. 2 is a side View of the same.

My design consists in the rectilinear bar, a ring and a cross-piece formed at one end of said bar, a double hook at the other end thereof, and of a circular base-plate, whereby I obtain a design presenting a handsome and distinguishing appearance.
In the drawing, the letter A designates a rectilinear bar, at one end of which is formed a ring, 13, and a cross-piece, O,the ring being I other similar articles, consisting of a rectilinear bar, A, ring B, cross-piece (1, double hook D D, and a circular base-plate, E, substantially as shown and described.
