FRANKLIN M. LAWRENCE, OF PORTLAND, MAINE.
DESIGN FOR RANGIES.
Specification forming part of Design No. 10,097. dated July 17, 1877; application filed June 19, 1877.
' [Term of Patent 14 years] To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, FRANKLIN M. LAW- RENGE, of Portland,in the county of Cumberland and State of Maine,have invented a Design for a Range, 0 which the following is a specification The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying photographic illustration, to which reference is made.
My design is intended for use either with or without the hot-closet, which is shown at a, and comprises that part of the range above the base b, to and including the molding c. When the hot-closet is not used the body 01 of the range rests directly upon the base b.
The photograph annexed shows a front View of my range, together with one side containing the draft-doors, &c. The ornamentation consists of moldings, panels, and interlaced work, distinctly shown in the photograph. The doors are ornamented with an interlaced pattern upon a raised molding around the edges, and, in addition, have a raised panel inthe center, which, in the case of the smaller doors, contains the letter A in old English text. In the oven-door e the central panel is ornamented with an interlaced border, harmonizing with the general pattern, and surrounding the word Atlantic, in old English text, and the panel of the hot-closet door is ornamented with a strip of similar pattern.
