IMPROVEMENT IN D-RIVEN WELLS.
To all 'whom it may concern:
. specification, in which- Figure 1 is a longitudinal view of my improvement. Figure 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of the same, showing the screen within the ofuter casing.

The nature of my improvement relates mainly to the providing of a larger and more perfect reservoir than those generally used, for receiving the water previous to its being carried up the pipe, and also affording a more perfect and strongerprotection to the inner screen, thereby keeping it always in order.
To enable others skilled in the art to make and use my invention, I will proceed to describe the same with reference to the drawings.
l construct theouter easing or reservoir B of iron, or of any durable metalrenlarged in the centre to nearly twice. the size at the end where the sectionpipe A joins, being a gradual slope from the centre to the ends; the inner surface and shape of reservoir B corresponding with the louter surface of the same.
.The sides of reservoir B are perforated with holes f, suitable in size and` number to admit the water freely through them.
At the lower end of reservoir B' there is point E, cast with the reservoir B, to enable the whole to be driven in the ground more easily.
Within reservoir B there is screen D, of galvanized-v iron pipe, perforated with line' holes, to admit the Water, and to prevent dirt or any like substance from passing up the pipe. v
Screen D is fitted into the lower part of reservoir B, is held at the top by section-pipe A and the smaller pipe C; seetion-pipe A being fitted with a screw into reservoir B at the top, and screwed down until it rests upon the top of the pipe-screen D, the smaller pipe C being tted tightly into screen-pipe D, and also attached by screw-thread to section-pipe A, thereby holding it firmly in place. Other sections of pipe, similar in size to that of section-pipe A, are attached thereto, by screw-thread, as each section is driven into the ground. l
Having described my improvement,
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
rIhe bulged-shape reservoir, B, when combined with screen D, pipe O, and section-pipe A, attached, lconstructed, and operating in the manner and for the purpose specified.
