Be 1t. known thatl, Jam-1s E. lhenanus, a citizen ot" the [hated States, residing at laytou, Ht the count of ..\lontgotnery and b'tate of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in CombinationAprons and Overalls; and I do declare the followiug to be a full, clear. and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the figures of reference marked there- 'on, which form a part of this specification.

This invention relates to a new article of manufacture, and consists of a combination workmans apron and overalls.

The object of the invention is to provide a garment of the above type which will protect the trousers of the wearer as well as tlte upper portion of the body. and whichtnay be worn about lltitt'llitttl'y without endangering the. wearer.

The pattern of the garment is shown in Fig. l, and the same is made of any suitable fabric, such as is usually employed for worltmeus overalls -or aprons. and consists of an upper front or body portion l with. lower extensions :3 lying on either side. of the crotch -l. Attached to the tree edges of the tlaps or extensions 3 3 are straps T which pass around the rear side of the legs of the wearer and are. detachably secured to buttons a which are secured to the outer edges of the legs L of said garment. When the extensions 2 2 are thus secured around the legs of the wearer, the vertical edges of the garment throughout extend partially around the'wearer throughout the length of the garment, asd hown in Fig. '2, so as to effectually protect the clothing of the .vearer.
