My invention relates to a class of devices used "for securing labels or price-cards to textile fabrics; and It consists inthe employment ot' a -plateof sheetmetal, having partially eutfrom the centre thereofv two diagonally-tapering or pointed strips, which, being bentv outward at a right angie with said plate, may he used for peiforating the card and cloth, and when bent inward will firmly bind the same togetl1er.t-he open-` kind refer vto like` pruts in Ving 'thus formed iusaid plate serving to exhibit tigiues, words, onotlier characters, placed upon the Vcard beneath.

In the' annexed drawing, A represents an oblong plate of sheet-metal, having the central portion .thereof perforated by two parallel longitudinal cuts, connected together by means 'of adiagonalcut, (as seen in iig, 1,) so as to produce two pointed strips, a a., which are attacked to said plate only at theirbase or ide ends.

This device supplies a want long felt by merchants and others, as it enables price-cards, labels, & c.', to' be secnrelyatmched to fabrics and preserved i'ronr all liability to injury, and it is believed that when known, its general usefvlill he certain.
