Letters Patent No. 92,053, dated June 29, 1869.
IMPROVEMENT IN LAMP-BRACKETS.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part ol the same.
To all whom 'it may concern Be it known that we, THOMAS A. HUNTER and J onx BLEwrTr, of the city and State of New York, have invented and made a new and useful Improvement in Lamps; 'and'we do hereby declare the following to be a. full, clear, and exact description of the said invention, reference being had to the annexed drawing, making part of this specification, wherein- Fi ure 1 is'a, side view of our lamp audits holder.

We makeuse of a lamp' with a fountain or reservoir, a, that'rises. higher than the burner-collar b, and introduce arcylinder, c, that is fitted tightly to place and receives the wick of the burner, the same as shown in our Letters Patent, granted November 3, 1868, No. 83,711. 7
Our present invention consists in projections or ribs running more or less around the reservoir, combined with clips by which the lamp'is attached to a gas fixture, to the edge of atable, shelf, mantel, or other horizontal support, or may be connected to a vertical support, such as the edge of a door or biind, the m ullions or sash-bars of a window, or other convenient place of attachment.

These clips may be made with three arms, two of which are hook-ended and the other provided with a screw or other means for clamping, and these clips may be adapted to setting upon the end of a gas-fixtura as seen at g, fig. 3.
