' Second, in a novelI method of constructing the buckle oftw'o separate sections, held together by the band or In the accompanying drawings- Figure '1"represents a view in perspective of my improved buckle as it appears when the cord or strap is locked.
Figure 2 represents a\ similarl View of the body or 'frame of the buckle detached.
Figure 3 represents avertcal llongitudinal section throughthe buckle.,A i
The buckle-is made', preferably, of cast-metal, in the form shown inthe drawings.'
'The-tongue@ has an eye', b, in it,vfor, the insertion of the cord or strap c, and two lugs, d, which fit into open sockets, e, on the body or frame f.
The cord passes down Within the buckle, as shown in iig. 1, and through an eye, h, on the frame. l
It is then wound around the bundle or bag, and 1nsertedlaterally into the buckle, through the openingv l. The buckle, constructed as set forth, with an I opening in the frame, for the insertion laterally of the cord.
