ALBERT BARNHARDT, OF MOYIE, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA.
INVISIBLE TROUSERS-SUPPORT.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Dec. 3, 1907.
Application filed December 27, 1906- Serial No. 3491701.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALBERT BARNHARDT, a subject of the King of Great Britain, residing in Moyie, British Columbia, Dominion of Canada, have invented a new and useful Improvement in an Invisible Trousers-Support, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to trousers supports and more particularly to invisible trousers supports especially adapted to be used by men when wearing shirt waists, the object being to provide means whereby the trousers can be securely held up in place over the hips without the use of shoulder-suspenders Another object of my invention is to provide a trousers support so constructed that the trousers will not be puckered and one which will securely hold the shirt in place and prevent it from coming out, thereby overcoming the difficulties now existing of keeping the shirt from working out of the trousers when exercising.
In the accompanying drawing I have shown a perspective view of my improved invisible trousers support attached to a pair of trousers, in which A indicates a pair oi trousers provided with the ordinary waist-band A having spaced canvas loops B secured to the inside of the band. Triangular-shaped pieces of canvas C are secured to the inside of the trousers midway between the fly opening and the side seams carrying rings D at the upper free ends in which are secured the ends of leather straps E, provided with eyes F at their free ends.
Arranged in the canvas belt straps B is an elastic belt G having tapering ends G carrying buckles H in which the ends of the leather straps I are secured, which are provided with hooks J at their ends adapted to be hooked into the eyes F From the foregoing description it will be readily seen that in use the elastic belt will fit snugly around the hips and securely hold the shirt and trousers in place.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. The combination with a pair of trousers provided with pieces secured to the inside, to each side of the fly, of a belt having its overlapping ends connected to said pieces.
2. The combination with a pair of trousers, of pieces secured to the inside of the trousers, carrying rings and a belt having overlapping ends, provided with hooks adapted to engage said rings.
3. The combination with a pair of trousers having pieces secured to the inside carrying rings of overlapping straps carried by said rings provided with eyes, and a belt provided with hooks adapted to engage said eyes.
4. The combination with a pair of trousers having triangular shaped pieces secured to the inside to each side of the fly opening, carrying rings, of overlapping straps carried by said rings provided with eyes, and an elastic belt carrying straps provided with hooks adapted to'engage said e es.
ALBERT BARNHARDT.
