`The invention consists of the spring-lever A, attached, atits upper extremity, to the upper part of the sash B, and provided, at its lower extremity, with a piu, C, ora catch, or any other suitable device, to engage with any proper holes, H, in the sash D, or. with a rack, E, upon the stile of said sash, by means of which the position ofthe two sashes, B and D, relatively to each other, is governed.

What I claim as my invention, -and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. The spring-lever A, when constructed, attached, and operating substantially as and for the purpose herein set forth.
2. In combination with the above, the spring-lever F, when constructed, attached,l and operating as and for the purposes herein described.
