Description

UNITED sTAgrs PATENT o'EEicE.
Specification of Letterav Patent.
Patented June 26, 1906.
Application filed November 2l, 1904. Serial No. 288,720.
T0 a/ZZ whom it may concern:
Beit known that I, UBERTO DEsAIx EzELL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Kimball, in the county of Bosque and State of Texas, have invented new and useful Improvementsl in Pouches, of which the followin is a specification.
y invention relates to ouches; and its primary object is to provi e a novel device of this chai acter adapted to be a lied to the male organ to catch and retain al discharges coming therefrom, whereby apatients clothes are prevented from becomin soiled and th patient made more comforta le.
A further object of the invention is to provide a vpouch of the above-stated character with means adapted to engage the male organ to retain the ouch in applied position against accidental gisplacement and which is so arranged and constructed that the pouch may be easily andquickly applied and removed and can be worn withl the least discomfort resulting to the patient.
The invention consists of the novel construction hereinafter ully described, claimed, and illustrated .in the accom anying drawings, which disclose the pre erred embodiment of my invention, and in which- Figure 1 is a plan view of a pouch constructed in accordance with my invention, and Fi 2 is a central vertical sectional view thereo Referring to the drawings by numerals voi reference, 1 designates a ouch which may be any size and constructed preferably, of silk rubber. The pouch is provided with a contracted portion 2 and an enlarged entrance 3, Haring outwardly and upwardly from the `contracted portion 2. The entrance is large enoughirto admit of the reception of the anterior t d of the glans pems, which is pre--l vented from further entering the pouch by means of the contracted portion 2. The entrance 2 is made thicker thantheremainder of the pouch to add rigidity and strength thereto and is adapted to iit the glans penis snugly to prevent. the discharge from flowing 1n any other direction than into the pouch.
The entrance 2 hassecured thereto the lower ends of anterior and osterior cords 4 and 5 respectively, the same eing construct'- "cervix immediately above the corona.
and which is adapted to it snugly around te T e anterior 4 is of a length greater than that of the posterior cord 5 to permit the ap lication ofthe ring 6. The cords,in viewo their high degree of elasticity, are adapted after the application of the ring to draw the entrance iirmly about the glans penis to prevent leakage.
y It is apparent from th above description, l
taken in connection with the accompanyin drawings, that I provide a pouch by the use o which all discharges vfrom the male organ may be caught and retainedand that said pouch is cheap of construction, durable, and eiiicient. l
Charges in the form, pro ortion, and minor etails may be made Wit 'n the scope of my invention without departing from t e spirit or sacrificing any of the 'advantages t ereof.
Having thus Jf'ully desci'ibedrmy invention, what I claim isi l. A pouch adapted to be applied to the male organ, a ring adapted to be fitted around the cervix immediately above the corona, and posterior and anterior cords connecting the pouch and ring, the anterior cord bein onger than the osterior cord to permit t e application of t e ring. s
2. A pouch ada ted to be a plied to the male organ, an e astio ring adhpted to be itted around the cervix immediately above the corona, and posterior and anterior elastic cords connecting the pouch and ring, the anterior cord being longer than the posterior cord to permit the application ofthe ring.
3. A pouch adapted to be applied to the Y male organ, said pouch being reduced to provide a flaring entrance, an elastic rmg adapted.
to be tted around the cervix immediately above the corona, and posterior and anterior elastic cords connecting the pouch and ring, the anterior cord being longer than the pos- `terior cord to permit the application of the lgn testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two Witnesses.'
'UB'ERTOV- DESAIX EZELL. Witnesses: r
FRED JAMES, P. L. PAYNE.
