As the comb is forced outward'the, teeth 5. thereof move through the per 'orations 3 and 0 between the cross-bars 4 until the teeth are fully projected, asshown in Fig. 1. In the 7 reverse movement of the slide the teeth are drawn inward betweenthe cross-bars 4, and all material adhering tothe teeth of the comb 5 is scraped and 'removed' therefrom.'
