IMPROVEM ENT. IN CULTIVATORS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 78,203, dated 26, 1868 antedated May 11, 1868.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE D. HART, of Muncy, Lycomin g county, State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Improvement on a Cultivator or Corn-Plow, originally secured by Letters Patent dated 2d day of April, 1867, No. 63,384; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operationof the same, reference beinghad t0 the annexed drawings, making a part of this specification, in which- Figure l is a perspective view. Fig. 2 is a reverse view of the plate securing the standards to the under part of the frame of said machine. Fig. 3 is a View of the standards when detached from the plate No. 2. Fig. 4 is a per pendicular front view, showing the combination of three standards instead of two, as in the original machine. I
Letters a. b show the plate as connecting the standards with the frame. 0 0 represent the manner in which the tops of the standards are secured in plate. Letterd shows the flange or book by which the standard is connected with plate; e e, in Fig. 4, the same as d in Fig. 3, the third arm in this drawing, and the hooks and flanges on the two back standards for secur- GEO.
