To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J osnr PAREIs, a subject of the Emperor of Austria-Hungary, residing at Wollzeile I, Vienna, Austria-Hungary, have invented anew and useful. Improvement in Tobacco-Pipes,of which-the following is a specification. v
This invention relates to tobacco-pipes or equivalent devices in which the water is prevented from entering into the.dissectible pipebowl and the smoke becomes cleaned before passing through the water-chamber and pipestem and entering into the mouth of the smoker.
The annexed drawing shows such a tobaccopipe in longitudinal section.
The pipe-bowl consists of a tobacco-box 2, detachably secured in the case 1 of the bowl.
Between this case and the box is provided a:
chamber 3. The lower end of the case forms a plug 4 and is closed-with a bottom 5. On
edge of the box forms a flange which lies on the flange of the case. The cover is attached to the box 2 preferably by means of a ,hinge 11. The smoke passes through the hole 8 in the direction of arrow, enters the chainthe inside of the case 1 are arranged small ber 9, which chamber may be filled with a smoke-filter, there depositing impurities and noxious products. Then it rises through chamber 3 between the case 1 and box 2and passes out through the said pipes 6 and enters the water-chamber and flows through the pipestem in the mouthpiece and to the mouth of the smoker. What I claim as my invention is- In a tobacco-pipe or an equivalent device, the I combination of a bowl-case, a-water-chamber with which said bowl-case engages, a tobaccobox provided with a flanged top and adapted to be inserted in said bowl-case and leave a chamber between the same and said bowl-case,
