Abstract

Tobacco pipes and cigar and cigarette holders. - A pipe or holder, having a water or other liquid reservoir R to trap nicotine and cool the smoke, is provided with a baffle e or with a lip on the tube b for directing the smoke on to the liquid, and the oulet A' from the mouthpiece is some distance from the end so that the pipe may be held across the mouth by teeth at both side of the jaw. The reservoir may be a detachable insertion E, the outlet A<1> may have a perforated cover, several small outlets may replace the large one shown, and, to facilitate cleaning, the bore a may extend to the end of the mouthpiece and be closed by a stopper. A packing-ring c of rubber or other material is arranged between the mouthpiece and stem, whether the-joint be a screw or friction one.
