DISPLAY-STAND.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 750,804, dated February 2, 1904.
Application filed October 31, 1903. Serial No. 179,289.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HIRSCH BURNSTONE, a citizen of Russia, residing at New York city, Manhattan, county and State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements in Display-Stands, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a stand for displaying neckties in a neat and effective manner.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective View of my improved displaystand. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section on line 2 2, Fig. 1; and Fig. 3, a detail cross-section on line 3 3, Fig. 1, with the necktie in position.
The letter a represents a display-card or face-plate bent to form a number of steps, each step being composed of a horizontal section and of an inclined riser. The card a is secured to a straight back plate 6, which is provided with a surrounding rim Z). This rim embraces the face-plate a and imparts rigidity to the structure. A foot a, hinged to back 7;, sustains the stand in an inclined position.

plate a are represented one or more collars (Z, the drawings showing two collars represented side by side. Through each riser are further made two diverging slits or incisions a, one to the right and the other to the left of the center line of each collar.
In use the devices for supporting the neckties e are projected with their ends through the slits a and into the triangular chambers formed between the plates a and b. In this way the neckties will become neatly displayed, being represented as in actual use. A slight pull on the ties will detach them from the card.
