T0' ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, ALBERT A.'j`CHITTENDEN, of Boston, inthe county of Sulfolk, and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and improved Ironing-Table; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full` clear, f* and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings,'forming part-of this specification. v
This invention relatesv to an improved ironing-table,Y and consists of a table or skirteboard, supported at one end upon a rail secured to the wall and setting under a bracket. The table may be further supported by a leg, as shown in the accompanying drawings, in which-.1v

I -Ais the table or skirt-board, held bythe bent iron rod B, the ends whereof, b b, pivot in the frame-C, mortised at c, to receive the en d of the table, as shown in iig. 2. A couple of slats, a a, on the under side of the table A, form a groove toreceive the rod B. D is a stand for the iron, hinged at @Land foldinginto the recess E, when not inuse. A button,f, closes over the rod B, when'introduced into the groove formedby thc two slats a a. When the table is long, or extra strength isrequired, a leg, G, may -be hinged at g; and rest either upon theiloor or againsty the wall and flooring, as shown in g. 2. The table can be turned up against the wall' and hung by the rod B, or altogether removed, when not in use. The buttonfwill also serve to keep up leg Gr, f when applied to table, but not required to be used. The table may also be supported on one or more brackets in place ofl the rod' B, and be furnished with a circular lip curving upwards, grooving into a shelf also furnished with a circular lipcurving downwards.
-I claim as'new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The movable table A, in combination with the rod B and frame C, or their respective equivalents, substantially as and for the purpose described. I
