CATAMENIAL SACK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 475,820, dated May 31, 1892.
Application filed October 14, 1891- Serial No. 408,711. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY SMITH, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, residing at London, England, have invented new and useful Improvements in Ladies Belts, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to belts worn periodically by ladies, by which the napkin or other appliance is more readily attached and detached and suspended in a more satisfactory manner than by the means heretofore used.
To enable my invention to be properly understood, I will proceed to describe the same with aid of the accompanying drawings.
Figure l is a perspective view of belt; Fig. 2, a partial View of other side of preceding figure.
A are lappets of chamois leather; B, elastic part; 0, chamois-leather band part with eyelets to secure the belt to hook D. To both lappets A are attached short tags E of elastic, with buckle with several close teeth, preferably five, to secure and hold a narrow tape or cord, as is sometimes attached to the towel or corner of the towel itself or other appliance.
Having now described my invention, What I desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States is- A belt for ladies periodical use, consisting of lappets A, elastic part B, band part 0, with eyelets, hook D, and elastic tags E, with buckle with close teeth, substantially as described and set forth.
